Adoption
Our Adoption Program helps animal adoption agencies in Washington State find homes for the homeless dogs and cats in their care by increasing adoption opportunities through events and our #WhyNotMePets campaign, which focuses on increasing the attention to long-term and harder to adopt cats and dogs who need an extra paw up to find their forever home.
Spay & Neuter
Our Spay and Neuter Program increases the number of high quality, low-cost cat and dog spay and neuter surgeries being performed in Washington State. We create new and expand existing programs, as well as raise funds to assist them, and we target areas with high rates of cat and dog overpopulation with few affordable surgery options. We know that we can’t solve the pet overpopulation problem through adoptions alone
Pet Retention
Our Pet Retention Program focuses on keeping pets with their caretaker and prevent pets from ending up in a shelter. Pets without ID tags or microchips who become separated from their caretakers are the most common reason pets end up in shelters and many aren’t reunited with their families. To help lost pets get returned to their home as quickly and safely as possible, we are focused on providing free or low-cost pet ID tags in communities throughout Washington State.
Additionally, we honor that income should not be a barrier to keeping a pet. Thus, we help those most vulnerable in our community, the homeless and low-income, care for their pets. Pawsitive Alliance is working with our partners to provide medical care, pet ID, and supplies for the pets of these community members to keep them safe and cared for. These are beloved pets whose caretakers want the best for them.
Pawsitive Alliance is dedicated to both finding loving homes for homeless cats and dogs through our Adoption Program and proactively preventing pet homelessness through our Spay and Neuter Increase Program (SNIP) and Pet Retention Program.
