Orla
Homeless since June 2023
Orla is a happy girl and in love with life. She can be a little standoffish at first with those she does not know, but she soon warms up and loves scritches. She is eager to please and loves to play with toys! Orla also loves companionship, she is happy to lounge with you or be out on an adventure.
Orla will need a home without cats. Orla broke a leg racing, but it healed really well and it certainly does not slow her down and she loves to take walks. She does fine out and about with larger sized dogs but will likely do best in a home as an only dog and without young children as she tends to fixate on toys. The trainers at Greyhound Pets, Inc. are working with Orla and she is making good progress in learning to “drop it” and distract from things she wants. Plus, Orla’s adoption package comes with training provided!
While Orla is technically old enough to be in an apartment/condo/townhome, it would have to be an active household and one without a lot of other dogs (particularly smaller ones) in the complex. Otherwise, a home with a securely fenced yard would be preferable for this girl.
