In 2005, Yolanda co-founded Pawsitive Alliance and currently serves as the Board President. Yolanda has both worked and volunteered with different animal rescues since 1999 and shares her home with her partner and their rescued dog, Luna. Yolanda also serves on the core team of 100+ Women Who Care about Snohomish County. For work, Yolanda is the NW/SW Program Associate for Wilburforce Foundation, where she has worked since 2002. Yolanda often returns to the high-desert town in central Washington where she grew up to visit family and is transitioning her now retired alfalfa field into a haven for native species. In her free time, Yolanda enjoys exploring the many vegan cuisine options around Seattle, road-biking, walking her dog, reading, and turning her small green space in Seattle into a welcoming place for pollinators and other city creatures.
